These bags arrived in decent time. They actually are a bit smaller, and not as thick, as I thought from the photo. That could have just been me though. You can imagine the size, because of the fact they can hold up a bottle of soda. They are mesh-like. I have one of those mesh re-usable bags from Target (which started to give, but I truly used it to it’s death!) and these bags are a decent amount thicker than that one. I’ve used them about six times for groceries now, and stuffed them to their limits! They seem surprisingly strong so far! They can hold quite a bit (I have a family of three and have only used all four twice).
I’m not sure if it’s that important, but, I liked the oatmeal color of the bags. But, when they arrived, they were actually a darker tan color. The inside soda flaps matched a the dark tan and were not the green in the photos. It’s not a big deal. But, I thought that was a little strange.
The reason they stand on there own is not because of their own strength or thickness. There is actually a black flat piece that lays in the bag–when you open the bag, you push it easily down to the bottom and it is what holds that bag up. It sounds annoying. But, it’s actually quite a habit now. I just wasn’t aware of that factor at purchase time. It’s a nice little trick.
Overall, they are durable and seem like they will get the job done. They came with a FREE surprise of a hot/cold bag. It’s not as big. But, it says it keeps things cold for up to six ours! I had it in a very hot car for about an hour and it was still ice cold when we arrived home. I also got a cute little pen. Ha!

These bags are bigger, less awkward, and stronger than the store plastic bags. I would prefer these even if I didn’t care about waste.
The clerk today put a lot of heavy stuff all in one bag and I could tell that it could have held even more. Instead of bringing in 7 different bags with the yogurt sagging off the end of the seat, I brought in 4 and they encourage neater bagging because they keep their shape when you open them up.
They are also cheaper than the bags they sell in the store with that company’s logo on it (nicer too). I know I shouldn’t, but I feel awkward bringing a bag with one company’s name into a different store.
I’m really happy with these bags- really great deal.

I can’t tell you how much I love these bags!!! I bought them a couple months ago, and love them so much I’ve purchased some for my family and friends to use. I was getting so sick of the small thin bags from the grocery; I tried my best to make use of them in different ways (lunch, trash), but always ended up having to throw a bunch away because you get so many just from one trip to the grocery.
These hold so much more (3-4 of the small bags worth), hold their shape unlike the canvas bags (contents don’t end up rolling around your trunk), and are much easier to haul up to my 2nd story apartment. They also have some with compartments in which to pack 2-liter bottle of soda so they stand up. I just keep a few in my trunk and pull them out as I need them, no matter how big or small the trip.
Some people are writing that they’re no better than the other platic bags because they too are made of plastic, but you reuse them so many times that they make much more ecological sense. Plus, they have many other uses and can act as general tote bags. You can also throw them in the gentle cycle of the washing machine.
A very very good purchase!!!

These bags are solid for the price, and the bottle pocket is a nice touch. I have not actually used them myself so I can’t evaluate how durable they are.
The one thing I would mention is that they are made of a woven polyester material; I had the impression they were more like canvas, which is why I bought them (plan was to have the kids apply fabric paint to create Mother’s Day presents for the grandmas). As it turned out, they worked OK but not great for that purpose; the fabric markers looked terrible, but glitter fabric paint worked OK.
Thought I’d mention it in a review so that other crafty sorts could get a clear idea what they were purchasing.

These bags are good sized without being oversized. Well put together and sturdy. The manager at my grocery store even thought these were well made and appreciated the bag loops. He even commented that this large chain store was looking into redoing their store bags with the corner bottle holders. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.
